The GitHub integration links commits to HacknPlan work items automatically.

When commit messages include an item reference (default prefix hnp-, for example hnp-10), HacknPlan associates that commit with the item and shows it in the Source Code tab.

Setup workflow

1. Link your GitHub account in Avatar -> Settings -> Integrations.
2. In project Administration -> Integrations, open the GitHub panel.
3. Select the linked account and repository.
4. Click Connect repository.

You need admin permissions in both:

• the HacknPlan project
• the GitHub repository

Result

After each push:

• matching commits are attached to referenced items
• activity entries are generated
• notifications are sent according to user settings

You can disconnect at any time. Historical linked commits remain for traceability.
